LIFE CO2toCH4 at the 13th International Conference on Sustainable Solid Waste Management (KOS2026)

As the LIFE CO2toCH4 project approaches its completion, we are pleased to invite researchers, industry representatives, stakeholders and all interested participants to its dedicated session during the 13th International Conference on Sustainable Solid Waste Management (KOS2026), taking place on 24 June 2026 in Kos, Greece.

The session will open with a comprehensive overview of the LIFE CO2toCH4 project, presented by Dr. Apostolos Antoniadis, Project Coordinator and representative of PPC Renewables, and Dr. Panagiotis Kougias from ELGO-DIMITRA, one of the project’s key scientific partners. Their presentation will highlight the project’s implementation, major achievements and key outcomes from the demonstration of biological CO₂ conversion into renewable methane, while reflecting on its contribution to carbon capture and utilization technologies.

A key highlight of the session will be a high-level panel discussion featuring representatives from TITAN Cement Industry, HERACLES Cement Industry and MESOGEOS Resource Recovery S.A. Bringing together three leading companies with strong presence in Greece and across Europe, the discussion will explore the role of carbon utilization technologies in supporting industrial decarbonisation, while addressing the opportunities and challenges of moving innovative solutions from demonstration to real-world application.
