LIFE CO₂toCH₄ at ICREC 2025 and Best Paper Award

Our project participated in the 10th International Conference on Renewable Energy and Conservation (ICREC 2025), held in Florence on 21–22 November 2025, with representatives from the Public Power Corporation (PPC) and Public Power Corporation Renewables (PPCR). The project contributed an extended abstract and an oral presentation in Oral Session 4, “Renewable Energy in Action: Building Sustainable Communities.”

The study, titled “A Methodological Approach for the Techno-Economic Assessment of CO₂ to CH₄ Technology: Insights from the LIFE CO₂toCH₄ Project,” was prepared through the collaboration of the PPC–PPCR teams (A. Antonidis, E. I. Partheniou, S. Konstantinidi, A. Servou, C. Roumpos) and presents a comprehensive approach to evaluating the techno-economic feasibility, scalability, and transferability of CO₂-to-CH₄ technology, highlighting its potential applications across the energy, biogas, and cement sectors and its contribution to sustainable energy innovation.

Best Paper Award

The presentation, delivered by Stella Konstantinidi, received the Best Presentation Award. The project was represented onsite by Stella Konstantinidi (PPC) and Helena Partheniou (PPCR). This distinction reflects the dedicated efforts of the entire LIFE CO₂toCH₄ consortium, the strong collaboration between PPC and PPCR, and the high-quality representation of the project at the conference, underscoring the team’s continued commitment to advancing sustainable energy innovation.
